Who needs this Class: The Safe Sitter curriculum is designed exclusively for young teens in grades 6th - 8th grade (11 - 14 years old)

Class Duration: 6.5 Hours (Typically 9am - 3:30pm)

Class Content:.

The Safe Sitter® course includes instruction in babysitting skills and techniques as follows;

  • Life & Business Skills - how to manage their babysitting as a business, screening potential employers, how to judge their babysitting abilities
  • Safety Skills - recognizing the importance of being safe, being aware of potential hazards and critical thinking skills to manage the scenes safely. 
  • Child Care Skills - learn the difference in age groups, what is expected for each age group behavior, and how to defuse behavior problems as they arise with helpful management behavior tips.
  • First Aid & Rescue Skills - Building off safety skills by learning to identify various emergencies, what is appropriate for the safe sitter to manage, when to call for additional help - backup adult or calling 9-1-1.
  • CPR/Choking Rescue Techniques (children and infants) - Recognizing the signs for a person needing CPR, emphasizing on compressions and how to provide mouth-to-mouth breathing, recognizing the difference between severe choking and administering choking rescue techniques.

Additional Class Information:

This class includes student book and complimentary lunch for our students.

The class is held at our office with a trained CPROLOGIST on-site who will stay with students at all times.

We ask to please arrive 15 minutes prior the start of the class to allow time for registration. All parents/authorized legal guardians to sign-out at pick up time.
